Scripted Installation
Running your own website can be great fun, especially when you have special features that are unique to your site only. Of course, when you first started off, the page was white, blank, and boring. Over time, you added a content management system, graphics, banners, advertising, interactive features, video, audio, and of course – the most important of all – visitors. How is it that you were able to include all of these exciting improvements? Through add-on scripts.
Ok, I’m sorry if that introduction confused you – but now I’ll go right back to the beginning and explain myself. Basically, when you want to increase the functionality of your website by adding new features, there are two options. You either write the coding for the extension yourself, or you find a script that someone has already done for the exact same purpose. Is it legal to take someone else’s script? Well, if you are getting it from a “free script website”, then yes – it most certainly is. How do you ensure that the website provides them for free? Firstly, and most obviously, try searching for free scripts. If this doesn’t give you the results you were hoping for – alter your search to find webmaster resources instead.
