File Folders

Walk in to our office on a Friday afternoon, and if Mary our receptionist decided to take the day off, you wouldn’t be surprised if a small explosion had occurred behind the front desk. There will be papers littered from left to right, numerous CD’s lying around (out of their cases), and probably an overflowing rubbish bin. What went wrong I hear you asking? None of us know how to use the filing system. Instead of writing this article, I should really be downstairs conducting a staff training session, appropriately named: “operating the filing system”.

From using my own workplace as an example, I can assure you that an extremely important item to include in your next stationery supplies order is a pack a filing folders. If only I had remembered last time, order and tidiness would surely reign on the front desk. You can also see the importance of planning your stationery requirements. If we had the system up and running from the very beginning, everyone would know how to use it, and there would be not one document in sight.

Note to self: When I move to a new office building, get the stationery supplies order right the first time!
