Filed under: Wedding — Marriah Stevens @ 3:05 am

The choice of a marriage venue is always the foremost priority for any wedding planning. Be it an old fashioned or contemporary venue, it plays a very important role in the complete experience of the wedding, which is captured in photographs for eternity.

The couple’s expectations must clearly be communicated to the wedding photographers, whose job is a very important part of the marriage ceremony. The bride must always be the centre of focus for the wedding photographer while he is clicking the beauty of the venue in the background. It is a difficult balance to strike and the photographer requires much experience to be able to do it right.

Different venues differ a lot in their characteristics and facilities and all of them are exclusive in their own way. Conventional church weddings are as much popular as weddings in contemporary venues. Houses of worship, with their splendid architecture, can form a very good backdrop for bridal photography.

But the insides of most venues create tough challenges for wedding photographers. In such a scenario, a beautiful outdoor spot near the venue can be chosen as a spot for bridal photography. In fact, as wedding photographers have an excellent deal of knowledge about these matters; it may help if you just make the photographer accompany you while looking for a venue.

Besides choosing the ideal venue, there are many other things you must consider to make sure that you get the nicest wedding and bridal photographs on your big day. Most good venues have some kind of natural attractiveness about them and the next step for wedding photographers is to enhance that beauty. Much rests on the expertise and competency of the photographer, so the more skilled he is in his trade, the better he will be able to deliver as expected.

Choosing a Wedding Gown from Among Unusual Weddings Dresses

Filed under: Wedding — Geraldine Dimarco @ 3:09 am

Probably the most money you will spend for a single day will be that for your wedding – the industry is worth almost 25.5 billion dollars annually and when a wedding has an average cost of approximately 25,000 dollars that’s perhaps not surprising. Organizing an enormous event like this when you are on a tight budget may seem an enormous task but it is possible; carried out properly, the majority of guests will not even realize they have attended a ‘cheap wedding’. However, sometimes all that is needed is some help with the planning to help lower that total – ideas that could help you achieve your dream day for less.

Cheap Wedding Gowns

That hand-made wedding dress is going to be the most costly individual item. As the wedding dress has probably only been worn once anyway and you can get a once expensive dress for half the price if you consider buying an evening gown or cocktail dress from a department store perhaps even look into renting your dress for the day. If this thought doesn’t thrill you, cheap wedding dresses can still be located, although you may not have the range of unusual wedding dresses to choose from that you would in the higher price ranges.

Planning the Reception

Controlling costs especially on the reception is probably the hardest part; if you want a cheap wedding, this is where you may have to start, firstly by reducing the number on the guest list. Try and keep your guest list to a minimum: ask yourself if you really need to invite family members you haven’t seen for years; instead, opt for a three course meal or a hot and cold buffet.

If you intend holding the wedding reception in an expensive hotel then stop and look at the available options; consider holding it at a club perhaps or even book a restaurant where you can keep an open bar to a minimum by only serving beer, wine and soft drinks.

The Wedding Photographs

Although many photographers are employed for the entire day, this isn’t really necessary; the majority of guests are more than happy to take photos on behalf of the couple, and they will be ‘natural’ shots as well! You could, if you are brave, dispense with the services of a photographer completely; a friend or relative who is a keen photographer might be happy to do this for you!

PC Produced Contemporary Stationary

Other areas where you can be assured of saving money is cheap wedding invitations and other wedding stationery. Today’s home computers and printers are able to provide near professional results. The quality of printers available combined with sophisticated programs means it is quite easy to make your own cheap wedding invitations if you have a mind to. In fact very professional looking results can be achieved on a home computer. Otherwise you may find some good cheap wedding supplies stores that stock some pretty cheap wedding invitations.

Flowers at the Wedding

If you want to reduce the cost of flowers, then how about this for an option; why not visit the local flower wholesaler where huge savings are possible, then all that’s needed is a little imagination when it comes to the display. Many people have friends who are very capable cooks and love to bake so why not let them bake a two or three tier wedding cake. This can be made from sponge or even a chocolate cake which tends to be favorite amongst people these days.

The Wedding Limousine

It is not uncommon for someone close who has a luxury car to offer a couple the use of it for the day. Cleaned, polished and decorated with ribbons, it can look really impressive.

Cheap weddings are possible without the wedding seeming it has been cost driven. The point is that guests enjoy the day, and I bet they won’t even notice the cheap wedding invitations, cheap wedding dress, cheap wedding decorations, or any of the other cheap wedding ideas you manage to come up with!

Weddings cost a lot, and economizing on your wedding gown can be hard. But cheap wedding dresses can be sourced, and almost as good as selecting a wedding gown from a designer label.

A costly part of a wedding is the reception and with couples having to encounter the cost of the wedding all by themselves having a fancy affair can be quite a challenge. A couple can still be able to have a great reception by thinking out of the box and making use of all the support they can get from family and friends.

Finding an inexpensive place to have a reception can be a challenge. Keep in mind that many churches have their own reception hall and rent it for a lesser fee than most other places.

Invite creative family members or friends to help you come up with the decorations for your reception hall. Their talents will astonish everyone, saving you some good money.

Having a reception at a relatives’ backyard is a very practical and economical option. If your wedding size is on the small side, this is a great way to save money. You can add to your savings even more if you borrow chairs and tables from those you know.

Feeding the guests at your wedding is the most expensive part of getting married. Why not contemplate a potluck? In your invitation request a dish rather than a present. Maintain a list of dishes your guests will be bringing so you won’t be short on food.

Another way to keep your expenses low is by having someone you know make all the food. This will be less costly than a professional caterer. Ask your bridesmaids and groomsmen to help you serve the food. Relatives and friends are always eager to help during these events.

Many couples feel discouraged when planning their wedding because of the high cost of it, but with some innovative and resourceful people around you, a wonderful low budget wedding reception can be accomplished. Family members are always willing to pitch in and help with food, decorations, an area for the reception, etc… You don’t need to fall deep in debt, make your wedding a family affair, you’ll cherish the memories even more.

Considering wedding reception locations

Filed under: Wedding — admin @ 3:09 am

After deciding where you want to hold the ceremony (which can sometimes be a no-brainer especially if you’re planning a church wedding), you will need to decide on where you want to have your reception. Considering possibilities for wedding reception locations is probably one of the most stressful parts of the whole planning activity. After all, this is a major part of the whole event. Your reception is where your guests are bound to have a lot to say especially if they’ve enjoyed the party.

With this in mind, here are a couple of ideas that you may want to keep in mind when it comes to wedding reception locations.

Trimming down your choices

If you plan to get married within your locale and you don’t live in a really big city, trimming down your choices for potential reception venues could be as simple as choosing from among a local ballroom, public garden, the church courtyard and your own home. However, if you suddenly found yourself with a lot of options, you may want to start by trimming down these choices to at least three to four possibilities. The choice will of course depend on the type of wedding you had in mind and your guest list. It’s illogical to go for a really large venue when you’re only inviting a couple of guests.

Take photos

You’ll be glad you did so. As soon as you have three choices in mind, visit your options and remember to take a camera with you. It’s a good idea to take photos of key areas in your choice wedding reception locations – the parking areas, entrance hall, bathroom locations, etc. This will help you decide on which one would suit your preferences best.

Budget friendly reception

If you’re scouting for free or affordable wedding reception locations, you will still find yourself with an array of choices. Your family home, the church hall or even a local club hall should suffice especially if you’re not planning on a huge wedding with a hundred-strong guests. You can also try restaurants that offer reception packages. Catering services in these establishments may even offer the use of their space including other amenities.

Unique

If you’re edging towards the unique for your wedding reception locations, there are also a couple of ideas that you can consider. For instance, the top of a cityscraper or high-rise should be a great venue to hold your party. Most high-end buildings offer their spaces for rent for parties and this should be an exhilerating treat to your guests especially if the building comes with a great panoramic view of the city. You can even host your reception in a sports venue or a barn if you want to. Really, it’s all about what you want to do for fun and where your preferences lie.

When considering wedding reception location, always ask whether you can have aisle runners there. Some places don’t allow wedding runners on their floors. So before you pay for an aisle runner, make sure that they are allowed.
