Two type of furniture is the Oak bedroom furniture and rustic furniture. Oak furniture can match any room decor. It gives the area a warm inviting feeling. The rustic bedroom furniture is designed to look home made, giving it a traditional cabin feel, often found in lodges and rustic cabins. I will discuss each below.

Oak bedroom furniture can be dated back as far as the 16th century, owned by the very wealthy. Many historians consider this era as the Oak period. 16th century Furniture had inlays of either another dark wood or the mother of pears. You would find the architect signature and branded initials in the piece.

The nice thing about Oak bedroom furniture is that it gives any room a special charm. It is sturdy and versatile enough to change as your child grows and changes.

There is a large variety of styles. Numerous pieces are a mix of the past with a hint of new styles. Unlike the past oak furniture you now can choose from several stains that lighten up the woods.

When adding the finishing touches to a room remembers that light colors enhance dark colors while deep colors work amazingly with the lighter wood. Another idea is to add antiques. This will give your room a special appeal.

Oak, mahogany and cherry remain to be the most expensive pieces. Luckily manufactures have figured out a way to use veneer. This allows the oak look without the high cost. Since manufactures are doing this on some furniture products, price ranges vary immensely.

Rustic bedroom furniture has made a comeback recently. This like the oak is sturdy. You can find rustic furniture made from pine, cedar or timber. There are several styles to choose from Mexican, western, Santa Fe, mission, Spanish colonial and southwestern.

Prices vary on rustic furniture. This is because some companies only use the most expensive material when making their furniture.

Rustic bedroom furniture and oak bedroom furniture are both built to last. They add charm to any home. What you choose depends on your dcor. Either can be purchased on the web.
