A Simple Guide To SEO & Internet Marketing For Newbies In Simple Steps

Filed under: Finance — Guest Author @ 7:09 am

Getting started with internet marketing is not always as easy as it may seem if you’re a complete newbie. In fact the very thought of either Marketing your own products or someone else’s products online can be overwhelming and confusing at first. However, once you get to grips with the basics, you can slowly to start build up an online strategy. This article has been written with internet marketing for newbies in mind and to help you start your internet marketing business to achieve financial success.

The first thing you should do is to set-up your own website or blog (using squarespace.com as a good example). You should consider this your base, where you can provide complete information to your customers about your company and your products. It is best if they can purchase your products from your own website or blog rather than through a third party.

The second step is to start optimising your website for the search engines. This strategy is called SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation. Practising SEO means your website will get a higher ranking with the search engines allowing people who are looking for your products or services to find them. You will find that there are many strategies out there for SEO that can make it seem complicated. However broken down, SEO really only depends on three things, link building, keywords, and quality content.

Keywords mean you need to include words that are often used in search queries with Google, Yahoo and MSN for example. To look for keywords, try to familiarise yourself with the Google Keyword Tool. Important placements for your keywords are your article headers, titles, subtitles, and the first paragraphs of your article or content.

As another pillar of SEO, quality content is also very important. You need to have many articles and content with high quality on your site. If you cannot write them yourself, consider hiring freelance writers to write for you which can be done cheaply if you look around or at fiverr.com for example. Ensure that your articles are relevant with good SEO keywords. However, do not put too many keywords in one article or page or Google may penalise you for it.

SEO is a continuous process. Anyone who is involved in internet marketing should always work on their SEO strategies over time to improve them. If you are not able to do that on your own, you could consider hiring professionals, again if you look around this doesn’t have to be expensive.

After your website is set up, you need to consider how to advertise your website. With so many websites, products, and services online, you have to find ways to attract customers to your website and to make it stand out from the crowd. There are many places where you can place your ads depending on your budget and your target customers but a good place to start is Ad Land.

Some people suggest using social networking sites for business promotion purposes. These sites are free for anyone to use, unless you buy a space for ads. Like everything else, invest some time and a little money to work this part of your strategy for your benefit and you’d be surprised at just how quickly you start to get results.

The Truth About Declaring Yourself Bankrupt

Filed under: Finance — Guest Author @ 7:02 am

Believe it or not, the bankruptcy laws are there for your protection. The old days of companies, particularly credit card companies, rewarding people for loyalty have long gone and in the current economic climate financial institutions generally have only one interest – their bottom line. Declaring yourself bankrupt offers a way out.

However, before declaring yourself bankrupt, you should examine every possible alternative avenue. Bankruptcy stays on your credit report for up to ten years, and under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, 2005 (“BAPCPA”) it is now law that anyone filing for bankruptcy must, within 180 days of filing, attend US Trustee approved consumer credit counselling to ensure that all alternatives are explored.

These are the steps to be taken if it is found that having gone through all the options bankruptcy is the only viable way forward.

Firstly, you have to decide which type of bankruptcy you are going to file under, the two most common being chapter 7 and chapter 13. Chapter 7 is often seen as the preferred option, but under the new BAPCPA rules, all applicants for bankruptcy have to undergo a means test, the result of which often forces individuals into chapter 13.

Next thing is to think about whether or not you employ the services of a lawyer. I would strongly suggest you do. This is your financial future at stake and you should have the best legal representation you can afford.

Thirdly, your application for bankruptcy can be quashed if you use your credit cards after filing for bankruptcy, due to the fact that you are running up credit that by definition (bankruptcy) you know you can’t repay.

When your lawyer files your case your creditors are subject to “automatic stay”. This means they can no longer chase you for payment. Instead they have to deal with your lawyer directly.

In order to check that you are being truthful regarding your financial position, you will be required to attend a meeting of creditors shortly after filing for bankruptcy. At this meeting you will be questioned under oath, so that both the court and creditors can be satisfied as to the veracity of your claimed financial situation.

In a chapter 7 filing, the trustee will determine which assets are to be sold and the proceeds used to pay your creditors. Any outstanding debt remaining after liquidation will be written off and you will no longer owe anyone anything. Shortly after the 60th day following filing, a notice of discharge will be received by the individual.

In a chapter 13 case, a repayment plan is implemented over a 3 – 5 year period in accordance with the findings of the means test. There are no assets sold. Notice of discharge is usually received 30 – 60 days after the last payment has been made.

Microsoft MCSA-MCSE Computer Training Examined

Filed under: Computers — Guest Author @ 8:19 am

As you’re in the process of finding out about courses for MCSE, it’s possible you’re in one of two situations: Maybe you’re thinking of a dynamic move to get into the IT field, and all evidence points to a growing demand for properly qualified people. On the other hand you’re someone with a certain amount of IT knowledge – and you’d like to consolidate your skill-set with the MCSE accreditation.

When researching training companies, don’t use those that cut costs by not providing the latest version from Microsoft. In the long-run, this will end up costing the student a great deal more because they’ve been taught from an outdated MCSE course which inevitably will have to be up-dated pretty much straight away.

Don’t get bullied into a course without the right advice. Find a training provider that will make sure that you’re on an appropriate training track for your requirements.

Be watchful that any certifications you’re studying for are recognised by industry and are current. ‘In-house’ exams and the certificates they come with are generally useless.

All the major IT organisations such as Microsoft, Adobe, CompTIA or Cisco each have globally renowned proficiency courses. These big-hitters will make your CV stand-out.

A service that many training companies provide is job placement assistance. This is to assist your search for your first position. The need for this feature can be bigged up out of proportion though – it’s quite easy for eager sales people to overplay it. The fact of the matter is, the still growing need for IT personnel in the UK is why employers will be interested in you.

You would ideally have advice and support about your CV and interviews though; also we would encourage all students to update their CV the day they start training – don’t delay for when you’re ready to start work.

Getting onto the ‘maybe’ pile of CV’s is more than not being known. Many junior positions are offered to students who are still at an early stage in their studies.

Generally, a specialist locally based employment service (who will get paid commission to place you) will perform better than any division of a training company. They should, of course, also know the local industry and employment needs.

To bottom line it, if you put the same amount of effort into securing your first job as into training, you won’t find it too challenging. Some people bizarrely spend hundreds of hours on their training and studies and do nothing more once they’ve passed their exams and seem to expect employers to find them.

Commercial certification is now, without a doubt, taking over from the traditional academic paths into the IT sector – but why should this be?

With the costs of academic degree’s becoming a tall order for many, and the IT sector’s increasing awareness that corporate based study is often far more commercially relevant, there’s been a dramatic increase in Microsoft, CompTIA, CISCO and Adobe accredited training programmes that create knowledgeable employees for considerably less.

Patently, a certain portion of closely linked knowledge must be taught, but essential specifics in the exact job role gives a vendor educated student a huge edge.

Assuming a company is aware what they’re looking for, then all it takes is an advert for the particular skill-set required. The syllabuses are set to exacting standards and can’t change from one establishment to the next (as academic syllabuses often do).

Some training providers will only offer support available from 9-6 (office hours) and sometimes later on specific days; not many go late into the evening (after 8-9pm) or cover weekends properly.

Find a good quality service with help available at any time of the day or night (no matter if it’s in the middle of the night on a weekend!) Make sure it’s always 24×7 direct access to mentors and instructors, and not access to a call-in service which takes messages – so you’re parked in a queue of others waiting to be called back during office hours.

As long as you look hard, you will find professional training packages that provide their students online support around the clock – no matter what time of day it is.

If you accept anything less than direct-access 24×7 support, you’ll regret it. It may be that you don’t use it in the middle of the night, but consider weekends, late evenings or early mornings.

Filed under: Finance — Guest Author @ 4:39 am

If you’re accumulating more debt than you are income, then it may be time to consider getting a debt consolidation loan. A debt consolidation loan is perfect for anyone who has a lot of bills due to debt and can?t continue to pay them with their current income. If you don?t keep up and pay your debts then you risk getting charged late fees and having your credit damaged further. There are many ways that you can stop this issue before it becomes a huge problem.

There are many ways to get money that you need or a consolidation loan even if you have bad credit and don?t get approved for a unsecured loan. The first thing you can do is to try to get a secured loan. You will need a house or car to use as collateral which will ensure that the lender gets paid off. This also means that you?re likely to lose your collateral if you fail to make the payments. You can also try various credit unions to get an unsecured consolidation loan rather than a bank. In some cases credit unions will be more willing to lend out money to those with bad credit than banks. There are some lenders that specialize in bad credit consolidation loans. However, it may take some searching to find out which lenders do this.

Even with bad credit you will be able to get a debt consolidation loan if you choose to get a secured loan. To get a secured loan you will need some type of vehicle or property that can act as collateral. You must remember though if you fail to pay off your secured loan the lender will take your collateral instead and you may lose a lot of money that you?ve invested in it. Thus it?s always better to get an unsecured loan than a secured loan if possible.

Another option is to hire a company to help you manage your finances. These companies will help you lower your monthly payments. While the companies don?t give out loans they will contact your creditors and help you get manageable payments. They will charge you a small fee to do this and you can benefit from lower payments and lower interest rates. Many creditors are happy to work something out if they feel confident that they will be getting what?s owed to them. If you have bad credit then this is a good way to help you manage your finances.

If you have bad credit you may have trouble getting rid of debt. If you know you have bad credit and your debt just keeps growing then you should try to come up with a solution to the problem before it gets worse. Many people wait too long and they get so far in debt that they can?t get out. If your debts are starting to increase rapidly then you will want to consider a debt consolidation loan. If you have bad credit you may still be able to get a debt consolidation loan even with bad credit.

If you have bad credit then you may have problems getting rid of your debt. However it?s not impossible you simply have to find a solution to the problem. It’s best to catch your problem early so that you don?t have bigger issues later on. The earlier you take care of your debts the faster you?ll be back on your feet.
